Disagree, Avatar was visually great but you needed a mute button or some
music to listen to couple with the pretty pictures. Appropriate that it
broke the record of Titanic, because it was about the same caliber of movie.
Not that Hurt Locker was best picture worthy either, it was really good
but not elite.

I thought this L A Times article had a really good perspective on why "Hurt
Locker" won, although for the record I can't *wait* to see Avatar again.

I saw it in 3-D the second time and was very impressed. Added a nice
visual dimension to the movie that wasn't present in the regular one
though I loved the regular one too.
