Meaning:
1 : a belief that class is the primary determinant of human traits
and capacities and that class differences produce an inherent
superiority of a particular class
2 : class-based prejudice or discrimination
Use: primarily as a phrase: "That's classist!"
Example: I had to work my ass off going through public schools to get
into a decent state school, but George Bush !$%^s around his whole life
and goes to Ivy League schools because of his family. That's classist!
Example: You are 17 times more likely to die wealthy if you are born to
wealth as opposed to being born to less than affluent parentals. That's
classist!
Example: How is Paris Hilton even still alive? That's classist!
